Extending the Limits

The Extending the Limits Trust provides support to help rebuild communities that have suffered from a devastating natural or man-made disaster.

After the 2004 Boxing Day Tsunami, NGIS Australia's CEO Paul Harris spent a year working in the Indonesian Province of Aceh. He was so moved by the plight of local communities that he established the Extending the Limits Trust.

Acting through local Non-Government Organisations, the Trust raises money to seed projects that help ensure the economic security and social wellbeing of families in disaster affected regions of South and South East Asia.

The Extending the Limits Trust was built on the philosophy that financial disaster relief should provide ground level support and training to help people help themselves.
